At Activ Camps, we take real pride in the quality of our staff!
We really look after our staff providing them with a safe, inclusive and fun job at our awesome multi-activity camps. The intensive training and recruitment process also ensures that they really are the best that they can be.
With Easter Camps fast approaching, we have just had our first Training and Recruitment day of 2017 and what a day it was!
The day began with Duck Duck Goose, a great ice-breaker when you change Duck to each person’s name, and swiftly moved on to other initiative games. Back in the classroom, we shared our strategies to creating the best environment on camp, and how to understand the sometimes confusing timetable!
After a quick lunch break, we moved onto discussing the Safeguarding of children and young people, with specific focus to multi-activity sports camps. This was followed by an in-depth review of the Activ Camps policies and procedures.
Back outdoors on the lovely Graveney School field, the new recruits were given a chance to join in an activity run by our best instructors. They then had the chance to lead their own activities where feedback was given to ensure the highest quality session. Finally, it just wouldn’t be a day at Activ Camps without a giant inflatable!
