Activ Adventures have been working for a number of years developing systems to help schools deliver every aspect of the DofE Award at Bronze, Silver and Gold level.
Tailor-Made Support
The requirements from each school are very different and we tailor make our support programmes to ensure you get the most out of our expertise and experience. We currently provide the following services to schools and groups:

Recruiting and enrolling participants onto the award.

Setting up and overseeing eDofE accounts for participants.

Supporting participants in getting activities approved online and completed.

Organising transport, staffing and campsites for expeditions.

Organising and delivering eDofE and Expedition workshops.

Liaising with Operating Authorities and delivering parent information evenings.

Liaising regularly with parents to help support participants.

Providing up-to-date progress charts and lists for school management.
Our aim is to support schools as much as possible leaving teachers free to get involved as much or as little as they are able.

The Integrated Package
The Integrated Package is one we use in some schools who already have staff in place to run the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme but need a bit of extra support. Schools are able to plug any gaps in expertise or even time commitments from their own staff, to ensure a comprehensive DofE programme is run for their participants.
We work closely with schools to develop a framework that sets out our responsibilities and the extent to which they would like us involved. In every aspect we report to the teacher in charge of the DofE Award in the school and work closely to help ensure the award is a success.
Costings
Typical costings are between £25-£30 per hour, depending on level and type of support required. Hours are dependent on the school's need but as a guide, we currently work in schools anywhere between 2 and 12 hours per week over a 30 week annual programme (3 terms of 10 weeks).

The Full Package
The Full Package is one we use in schools that do not have staff in place to run the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme. Occasionally staff might be in position but require our full support for the delivery of the DofE Award.
We work closely with schools to develop a framework that sets out our responsibilities and the extent to which they would like us to communicate with parents. We provide a monthly newsletter to parents to keep them up-to-date but we respect each school's data protection policies.
Costings
Typical costings are between £25-£30 per hour, depending on level and type of support required. Hours are dependent on the number of participants signed up to the award but as a guide: school with 50 plus participants equates to approximately 4 to 8 hours per week, which can include weekly workshops and regular contact with every participant. Typically over a 30 week annual programme (3 terms of 10 weeks).

The Remote Package
The Remote Package is ideal for schools who have a teacher positioned to manage the participants but take the lead from Activ Adventures in terms of the programme delivered and the remote access to training videos, online resources and regular communication with participants with eDofE profiles and activities.
We are finding more and more schools ideally suited to delivering the DofE programme through more web based resource material, with participants using eDofE accounts and messaging systems to contact professionals for support and guidance.
We work closely with schools to develop a framework that sets out our responsibilities and fulfils all data protection policies. We work extremely closely with the lead teacher at the school and feel it best we visit the school on a monthly or termly basis for mroe personal contact.
Costings
Typical costings are £25 per hour. Hours are dependent on the number of participants enrolled on the award at all levels, and if support is required for expedition planning. Typically a 30 week annual programme (3 terms of 10 weeks).
